Baptism
Christ ordained it. Christ commanded it. Christ practiced it.
Through baptism, those who have repented of their sin and placed their faith in Jesus outwardly express what God has done in their hearts. Baptism symbolizes believers' union with Christ in his death and resurrection and their own death to sin and new life in Christ. It's a testimony of the transforming work of the Holy Spirit and a declaration of a lifelong commitment to follow and obey Christ.
Baptism is for anyone who has turned to Jesus for the forgiveness of sins and made the decision to follow him, whether that decision was made yesterday or three decades ago. If you are a Christ-follower and have never been baptized, we encourage you to pursue it.
