Hidden Heroes: Ordinary People with Extraordinary Influence
Often heroic and faith-filled people are ordinary folks with simple God riveted faith. This Sunday in our Hidden Heroes sermon series we will look at Mary Magdalene who is a central figure in the resurrection gospel narrative. In all four Gospels she is mentioned by name 14 times, which is significant as many women in the Bible are nameless. Mary is privileged to be the first person to see the risen Christ. Mary then is commanded by God to tell others about His resurrection. In Mary we have a wonderful example of a woman with a change of heart. God desires to change our hearts by experiencing Him in a personal way and through His Word.

Community Church Information
Founded in 1980, Community Church has experienced steady growth for over two decades. Through the whole of our history we have focused on four strategic purposes that we see woven through the pages of the New Testament. We aim to worship Christ (celebration), to bear witness to Christ (communication), to grow up in Christ (cultivation), and to love others in Christ's name (care). God has graced Community Church with His presence and His blessing, and there is lots of dynamic vitality as a result.
Our two Sunday worship services, student and children's ministries, adult ministries, and other ministries are all related to our vision of "helping more people become wholehearted followers of Jesus Christ." Our life together and our shared ministry are ultimately all about Jesus. He is the treasure around here.
There are many opportunities for ministry at Community Church. If you are interested in ways you can serve, please click on Volunteer Job Descriptions (in the left-side menu) for these opportunities.
