Going Deeper Questions

The Sabbath and Rest
1. Before the Israelites began their work, God reminded them to rest (Ex. 35:1-3).
How does your current rhythm of rest reflect your trust in God? Where might you need to slow down
or surrender even what might be considered “holy busyness”?

Giving From the Heart
2. The people gave “everyone whose heart was willing.”
What most often motivates your giving—obligation, guilt, habit, or genuine joy?
3. What hinders you from giving cheerfully? What practical step could help you grow in generosity this
month?

What Will You Bring?
4. Israel brought both valuables and skills.
What will you bring to the LORD? What is He calling you to give up to offer to Him?
5. What specific skill, experience, or gift do you sense God inviting you to bring to Community Church
in this season? What steps will you take this week to do this?

The Presence of God
6. How does God’s desire to be near you reshape the way you think about obedience or worship?

The Mercy Seat and the Gospel
7. God provided the mercy seat so His people could draw near. Read Romans 3:21-26. How is Jesus our
mercy seat? How does this change everything?
8. Where are you still trying to “earn your way” into God’s presence instead of resting in Christ’s
finished work?

Building on the Right Foundation
9. Paul reminds us that life must be built on Jesus Christ. Read 1 Cor. 3:10-11.

Where are you tempted to build your identity on something other than Christ? How can you re-center
this week?

God’s building
10. Ephesians 2:11-22 says God is building us together as His dwelling place (the Church).
How does this truth challenge how you view Sunday morning worship at Community Church - as
something to attend or something you belong to?

From Consumer to Contributor
11. Instead of asking, “What did I get out of church?” ask, “What will I bring?”
What is one tangible way you can shift from consumer to contributor in your church family this
month? What will you do to take action this week?
