Children in 1st grade and older can join us as we serve the FdL Salvation Army by bagging cold lunches (sandwiches, chips, fruit, and cookies) for local families in need. We will carpool from the church parking lot to the Salvation Army at 8:40am, so you can ride along or simply meet us there! If your child is not traveling with you, you will need a medical release form and permission slip on file. We will serve from 9:00am - 10:00am at:

The Salvation Army
237 N Macy St
Fond du Lac, WI 54935

We will return to church around 10:15am for a service-centered craft/cooking time and Bible study on our identity in Christ. If you’d like, bring a lunch and we can eat together before you go! We should be done around 11:30am. Please register below to let us know you're coming!

Here are the topics and crafts for each session:

June 16th: How do we identify things?  We will explore the properties of magnets and create projects with magnets to donate to local organizations (police department, shut-ins, nursing homes). We'll also learn how our identity in Christ shapes who we are.

June 30th: Why were we created?  We will make blankets for Project Linus, an organization that distributes blankets to children in local hospitals. Then, we'll talk about how God created us and how to have a relationship with Him.

July 14th: Why is following a recipe (and God's plan) important?  We will make chocolate chip cookies and thank you cards for our local sheriff's department. We'll also talk about God's plan for people... We must choose Christ or not, which indicates if we are saved or lost. If we're saved, we're saved by grace alone!

July 28th: What do I do after I'm saved?  Once we are in Christ, we are new creations! God gives us a new life, spirit, direction, purpose, and new example to follow. The fruit of the Spirit are a result of this new life in Christ. Today we will be planting flower pots for our local dispatchers and service men and women. We will also pack a special "take along" lunch for our local police department.

August 11th: Am I ever alone?  We will learn that God is with us even when it doesn't look like it, feel like it, sound like it, when others tell us He's not, or even when we mess up... He is with us always! We will be making oatmeal cookies and cards for our local service professionals to remind them they are not alone.

August 25th: Who Am I?  I am a child of God! We have love, grace, power, riches, and a specific role to play. In Christ, God is watching over us, guiding us, living through us, faithfully beside us, and surrounding us. We will create encouraging bookmarks and cards to hand out to our friends, teachers, and neighbors, and we'll make a special treat to celebrate what God has done this summer!
