"OUR TIME IN HAITI"...

Our time in Haiti was definitely memorable and humbling. It was wonderful to minister to the many needy children and families, both in the orphanage and in the village of LaVaud itself. During the week we helped to paint the orphanage, haul rocks and gravel for an outside floor, and get the generator up and running... they now have both running water AND electricity!! Something unheard of in this village! We also enjoyed many hours playing with the kids of the orphanage and village, fitting new shoes, handing out games and supplies to the orphanage, and going to the crusade each night! It was amazing to see many of them happy and content when living with so little. And it was great to worship OUR Lord and Savior right next to them! CLICK HERE for few snapshots of our time in Haiti. If you get a chance to chat with our team (Ray LaBatte, Scott Morton, Laurie Decker, Kathy Heinzelman), I know they will have a lot more to share with you. Thanks for your encouragement and support.
"COLLECTING FOR H20"...our kids finished well!! Three years ago we began a campaign to "Flood Dry Places". One of the outreach initiaves of the campaign included helping to build an orphanage in LaVaud, Haiti for children whose parents had died from aids. Quarterly we have been collecting pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and dollars in our water bottles. Our kids have done great in collecting a total of $7,127.84!! Their commitment, sacrifice and dedication to this initiative of our campaign has helped provide a safe "home" for many orphaned children in LaVaud, Haiti! Way to go kids, and to God be the glory!!
FAMILY WORSHIP DAYS CONTINUE... Parents of children in 3rd-5th grade please mark the following date on your calendar... SEPTEMBER 26th. Kids will be joining you in "big church" as they continue to learn to worship together as a church body. Thanks for modeling this important part of their spiritual growth! We love to see families worshipping together!

Watch your step — there’s construction ahead!
Construction Zone (CZ) is our Sunday school program for children ages 30 months through 5th grade. We meet during the 9 a.m. service each Sunday morning. CZ is a place where children are challenged to build a strong spiritual foundation in a fun, innovative way!
9:00 hour--Preschool (30 months) through 5th grade
10:45 hour--Preschool age children only (30 months through 1st grade) Click Children’s Programming at 10:45 for more detailed information.
OUR MISSION:
To help more kids become lifelong followers of Jesus Christ.
Each CZ program consists of:
Large Group Time—where the Bible is taught in a creative way. It might be a drama, a game show, a surprise guest, puppets, or just about anything.
Small Group Time—where kids meet in groups of 5-10 with a caring leader who knows them as individuals and helps them understand how the Bible relates to their lives—right now, in the 21st century!
Nursery Ministry
Our nursery ministry is provided during all weekend services (9:00 and 10:45am) for children age 2 and younger. The nursery at Community Church exists to provide a safe, caring, and comfortable place for infants and toddlers. Qualified adult and teen caregivers help give kids a great first experience with church by providing love, care, simple Bible teaching, and safe play time for these precious little ones.
Building Blocks Our preschool program is divided into Building Blocks based on age.
• Building Block 1 (BB1): Infant Nursery—Meets in Room 115 and includes newborns and crawlers.
• Building Block 2 (BB2): Toddler Nursery—Meets in Room 132 and includes toddlers and walkers.
• Building Block 3 (BB3): Early Preschool—Meets in Room 121. Kids must be 30 months old and meet certain developmental guidelines. Kids are promoted to BB3 in September and March only.
• Building Block 4 (BB4): Late Preschool—Meets in Room 125. Kids must be 4 years old by September 1 and be fully potty-trained. Kids are moved into this room only in the Fall.
